Sylvia Anderson, Pimihew askitakwew kihewskwew (she/her)

With a robust professional background, I bring expertise in diverse areas such as bookkeeping, software integration, grant writing, and overall administration. My career has seen me take on pivotal roles as a Financial Controller for not-for-profit organizations and small businesses, where I’ve successfully navigated the intricate financial landscapes to ensure efficiency and sustainability. I am dedicated to leveraging my multifaceted skill set to contribute effectively to the success of organizations, combining financial acumen with a strategic administrative approach.

Born in Calgary AB, my mother is a Polish immigrant and my father is Cree and a part of the Saddle Lake reserve in Northern Alberta. I am honoured to call Snuneymuxw & Snaw-Naw-As territory my home, and am an individual with a penchant for art and also a proud parent to three wonderful children and two furry companions. When I’m not immersed in the creative world, you’ll find me savoring the simple joys of life, perhaps with a glass of pinot grigio in hand. My journey is enriched by the harmonious blend of family, art, and the vibrant surroundings of Nanaimo.
